Sip Your Way Into Herbal Wisdom

A Gentle Start with Herbal Teas

There’s something almost magical about a cup of freshly brewed herbal tea.
The swirl of steam, the soft scent of leaves or roots unfurling in hot water - it’s a simple ritual that can calm the mind and wake the senses. If you’ve ever wondered how to turn that quiet moment into everyday herbal self-care, our Herbal Teas for Beginners course is the perfect starting point.

Why Herbal Tea?

Unlike standard black or green tea, herbal infusions invite you to explore a whole apothecary of plants - each with its own flavour, history, and gentle benefits. Chamomile for relaxation, ginger for warmth and digestion, lemon balm for brightening a cloudy mood… the list goes on.

In this course we slow down and teach you not only what to brew, but how to taste, blend, and appreciate the experience.

What You’ll Learn (A Quick Peek)

Here’s a taste of the journey:

Lesson 1We start with the basics: why herbal teas have been cherished for centuries and how your sense of taste guides you. You’ll meet catnip - yes, humans can enjoy it too! - as your first plant ally.

Lesson 2Travel through time to learn how tea became a global tradition. Meet chamomile and cinnamon, two classic staples that bring comfort and spice.

Lesson 3Not all teas are created equal. We’ll demystify the different types and show you how dandelion and ginger can support digestion and vitality.

Lesson 4From water temperature to infusion times, you’ll master the art of preparation. Lemon balm and liquorice root join the party to demonstrate sweetness without sugar.

Lesson 5This is where things get delicious. Learn to combine flavours and create your own blends for everything from a soothing bedtime drink to a zingy mid-afternoon pick-me-up.

Lesson 6Tea can be a grounding daily ritual. We’ll guide you in creating a personal ceremony and introduce marshmallow root and peppermint—plants that soothe and refresh.

Lesson 7Finally, you’ll learn how to craft a tea ceremony for others. Nettle, a mineral-rich powerhouse, takes centre stage as you create blends to nourish family and friends.

Each lesson includes easy-to-follow herbal profiles, preparation tips, and a touch of history and folklore, so you not only sip but truly connect with the plants.

A Taste of the Ceremony

One of my favourite parts of this course is watching students create their first “everyday tea ceremony.”

It doesn’t need to be elaborate. Maybe it’s lighting a candle before you pour hot water, or taking three slow breaths before that first sip.

These tiny rituals help you pause, reconnect with yourself, and let the herbs work on more than just the physical level.
