Step beyond the cemetery gates and explore burial grounds as places shaped by history, memory, folklore, ritual and magic. You will uncover the meanings held within grave symbols, funerary plants, offerings, mourning customs, spirit traditions, grave earth, corpse roads, cemetery guardians and the many beliefs that have grown around places of the dead. 

Alongside the folklore, you will explore practical graveyard spellcraft, remembrance work, divination, protection, symbolic burial and respectful ways of approaching spirit practice. The focus remains firmly on thoughtful, grounded engagement: learning how to observe a cemetery as a living landscape, understand the traditions attached to it, recognise the difference between folklore and modern magical interpretation, and work with its symbolism without losing sight of the people, histories and grief held within the ground.
