Herbal Teas for Beginners

Herbal teas, or as they are less commonly referred to - Tisanes, are beverages that are quite simply produced with a combination of herbs, spices, hot water and/or other plant material.

The natural aromas and effects on the human body are outstanding - hence their popularity within the tea world. One of the main benefits of herb infused teas is that they usually do not contain any caffeine, meaning that they are perfectly digested when relaxing before bed. Like most other beverages crafted from true teas, herbal infusions can be enjoyed either hot or cold depending on personal taste and desired effects.

In this class you will learn about true teas and their history along with the science behind how we taste. You will then go on to learn about the variety of different ways herbal teas can be used - whilst also profiling various plants in each class. You will learn about blending guidelines along with suggested recipes and a materia medica of a selection of plants that can be used as nourishing herbal teas.

Finally, you will also learn how to hold your own tea ceremony along with how to create a tea ceremony, and holding space, for others.
