Cacao Ritual Massage

Cacao Massage is a luxurious and indulgent spa therapy that combines the relaxation benefits of a massage with the nourishing properties of Cocoa/Chocolate. Cacao massage is exactly what it sounds like - you are massaged using liquid chocolate sometimes, but not always, included in oils or creams. That's right, prepare your client to be dipped in chocolate. This class also incorporates the mindfulness of cacao to create a long-lasting ritual experience.

Aside from the stunning relaxing scent of warm chocolate and the psychological wonders of being smeared with chocolate (do not underestimate how good that feels), a chocolate massage in essence uses the same techniques as a relaxing classic Swedish massage. So using a good deal of softer, soothing effleurage strokes interspersed with a little light kneading and gentle rubbing around the main muscles.

During this class you will learn three elements of the Cacao Ritual Massage that can be used together to perform the entire ritual or offered as smaller treatments.

After completion of this class you will be asked to provide 10 case studies. You will only be awarded your certification after you have submitted these case studies and feedback has been given.

As with all of our physical and energy therapies, once you have completed the home study part of the class, before you begin your case studies, you are welcome to book a 'training day' in with us which will be held in Glastonbury, Somerset. The cost of this face-to-face training is free of charge and this is not a pre-requisite of completing the course. PROFESSIONAL, CERTIFIED & INSURABLE COURSE

Upon successful completion of this course you will receive a Certified Diploma which is fully accredited with the IPHM and recognised for insurance purposes by Westminster and Towergate Insurance.

For those who wish to obtain insurance cover to practice their new skills on the public, after you have completed this course, we will give you details on how to go about obtaining insurance through our insurer to ensure you are fully covered.

As with many of our physical therapy classes, you must have first completed our Essential Anatomy and Physiology and Professional Holistic Practitioner Classes before taking this practitioner class. All students who enrol in practitioner level classes will also need to complete our Basic First Aid for Therapists Class - this is automatically added to your account upon enrolment of your chosen class.
