Traditional Reflexology
All foot massage is beneficial, but Reflexology provides a specific method of working on the feet to balance health and well being in the whole body. It is based on the principle that the feet are a map of the entire body, so that when the reflex points are stimulated, the therapist is treating the whole body not just the foot.
The concept is not new, the Chinese developed the technique thousands of years ago. Modern reflexology offers tremendous health benefits; it can help reduce stress, improve circulation, cleanse the body of toxins and revitalise energy levels. Reflexology works by stimulating the body’s own healing mechanisms in order to restore balance and a feeling of well being. The feet have reflex points which map and reflect the entire body.
These points are located on both the sole and top your feet. These points can be massaged in specific ways to affect correlating points within your body. Vital organs can naturally heal and improve simply by applying certain foot reflexology techniques.
This practitioner class will teach you about Reflexology and how it is applied to the feet. You will learn the full reflexology routine along with different techniques employed during the therapeutic session.
After completion of this class you will be asked to provide 50 case studies. You will only be awarded your certification after you have submitted these case studies and feedback has been given.
As with all of our physical and energy therapies, once you have completed the home study part of the class, before you begin your case studies, you are welcome to book a 'training day' in with us which will be held in Glastonbury, Somerset. The cost of this face-to-face training is free of charge and this is not a pre-requisite of completing the course.
